Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality service to clients.
  • Taking responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients which may include sole traders, partners, trusts and personal tax returns.
  • Liaising with third parties and clients in respect of the collation of tax return information.
  • Ensuring clients are notified of their tax liabilities in a timely manner.
  • Answering client ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of the clients’ personal tax affairs.
  • Working on a portfolio of tax clients.
  • Preparation of corporate tax computations in support of tax provisions to be included in financial statements, and for submission to HMRC, together with the tax returns.
  • Taking responsibility for the provision of a high quality tax compliance service to a portfolio of clients, ensuring that: all tax payments, and tax returns filings, are dealt with on a timely basis; all appropriate claims and elections are made to minimise tax liabilities; tax planning opportunities are identified and, where appropriate, pursued.
  • Maintaining an up to date technical knowledge of corporation and business tax.
  • Involvement in written negotiations on HMRC enquiries.
  • Managing WIP and billing.
  • Other day-to-day responsibilities to include oral and written communication with HMRC ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

To be a successful Tax Senior you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Must be able to plan workload in order to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines and cope with pressure.
  • Good written communication skills are necessary to draft correspondence.
  • Must have good inter-personal skills to be able to liaise with clients and other staff members.
  • An enthusiasm to learn and pursue a further career in taxation
  • Good IT skills, word, excel etc

Job title: Accounts / Audit Senior
Location: Harrow
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch 1-2pm

Overview

Providing a first-class service in the preparation of accounts for our clients, responding to client queries and ensuring full confidentiality, transparency and exceeding expectations whenever possible.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • ACA / ACCA qualified / qualified by experience
  • Good written / verbal communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills are essential
  • The ability to work under pressure and work as an effective team member
  • Good time management, prioritising skills in meeting deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation of financial statements for limited companies
  • Preparation of partnerships and sole traders accounts
  • Liaison with clients on all enquiries
  • Assisting Senior Auditors and Accounts Managers with their portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Developing and overseeing trainees
  • Review of juniors audit and accounts preparation work
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face-to-face meetings
  • Dependant on experience, supervising junior members of staff

Job Title:   AAT / AAT/ ACA / ACCA Accounts Trainee
Department: Accounts & Audit
Location: Harrow
Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 09.30 until 17.30 with a break of 1 hour for lunch between 1-2pm

Overall Purpose of the Job

Reporting to Client Managers and Partners, this position involves working in the Audit and Accounts team with the provision of appropriate training in accounts preparation, audit and initially to a more limited extent tax, with a view to obtaining the relevant professional experience and becoming a fully qualified chartered accountant.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Trainees will deal primarily with owner managed businesses including sole traders, companies and partnerships. Services include audit, accounts prep, corporation tax computations, VAT and providing advice to these clients about their personal and business matters.

  • Client record processing
  • VAT returns and checking
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Accounts and Financial statements
  • Corporation tax computations and returns (once tax papers have been sat)
  • Assisting with and on audits both in but primarily out of the office using a computerised audit system
  • Producing audit files for review
  • Achieving or exceeding assignment budgeted fees
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with basic client queries and /or enquiries (internal
  • and external clients) about personal and business matters
  • Developing strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and relevant authorities
