St Luke’s Hospice has thanked local accountants, RDP Newmans, for their donation of £18,200, which was raised in memory of their Partner’s wife.
40 staff from the firm swapped their normal smart attire for walking gear as they took on the Nine Bridges Challenge to raise money for this incredible local cause.
During the challenge, the team crossed some of London’s most iconic bridges, as they completed the 6.93 mile route.
They were driven by the memory of Sarah Perez, the wife of Lyndon Perez, a Partner at the practice based in Harrow, who received compassionate care from the team at St Luke’s before her passing in 2025.
20 members of the team who took part in the walk recently met with representatives of the charity at its Kenton Grange home to present the cheque, which was made possible thanks to 216 donations from people and businesses.
“I am incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and the amount we have raised was beyond my initial expectations,” said Lyndon. “I can’t thank our clients, friends, contacts and the local community who have rallied behind us to support this amazing organisation, which has helped so many lives since it was founded.”
During their visit to the hospice, RDP Newmans staff learned how their fundraising will support palliative and end-of-life care across Harrow and Brent.
They also saw first-hand how the sound therapy equipment, made possible by an earlier donation from Lyndon, supports specialist sessions, all in memory of Sarah.
The Hospice’s Chief Executive, Jo Pearce, received the cheque and thanked RDP Newmans for their remarkable commitment, kindness and generosity.
